Cycle
World is located at the corner of
Tomoka Farms Rd. and International
Speedway Blvd. in Daytona Beach. We
will be performing from 12-5 on Saturday
and Sunday. Real Rock 101.1 will be
there broadcasting live. See you guys
there.
Whoa!!!
The race was CRAZY!!! I ended up
missing the first race because my
left intake valve lost clearance
and the bike wouldn't start. Luckily
before this race my buddy Josh hooked
it up and put in 4 new valves and
a piston kit. Needless to say she
fired up 1st kick and I managed
to pull 2nd place on the holeshot.
If you need any mechanical work
I highly recommend Josh @ (623)
363-9078. Well my luck ran out about
the 4th turn in, I hit a pile of
sugar sand in a turn and washed
out. Everyone passed me. I ran about
as hard as I could until I started
reeling in the top few when I stalled
out toward the end of the 2nd lap
and couldn't get the bike started(I
forgot to pull the 'hot-start' lever).
After kicking the crap out of it
ol' girl finally decided to start.
I was all but exhausted. I debated
pulling in and resting on the second
lap but my pit crew yelling and
waving motivated me to push through
the torture. From there on out I
ran as fast as I possibly could
without crashing or hyperventilating.
The start of the 4th lap I pitted
and was blessed with a 30 second
break that entailed a gallon of
fuel, goggle cleaning, and a bottle
of water dumped down my back. I
was off again and feeling great.
I was so glad I kept going. Crossing
the finish line was an insurmountable
experience. I soaked it in on the
way back to the pits and then couldn't
wait to tear my gear off and chill
with the crew at Camp Stebilova.
Can't wait for the next one in December!!!!
